Ben Murphy performed for our residents on Monday afternoon, and honestly, the smiles in the room said everything.
There’s something special about live entertainment in a care home. It’s not just background music or something to pass the time, it’s a genuine event. Something to look forward to. Something that brings people together.
We watched residents who are usually quiet suddenly singing along to songs they haven’t heard in decades. We saw feet tapping, hands clapping, and faces absolutely beaming.
This is why entertainment is such a vital part of care.
It creates joy, sparks memories and builds community. It reminds everyone that life doesn’t stop just because you’re in a care home – it continues, with music, laughter, and moments worth remembering.
Ben was brilliant – engaging, talented, and clearly loved by our residents. We can’t wait to have him back.
